Terms of Service

Last updated 7 October 2026.

Welcome to World of Relics. These terms are the agreement between you and us about playing the game. Please read them with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.

1. Who we are

World of Relics is run by Axcelsoft Information Technology Solutions ("we" or "us"), of 174 Sitio Danga, Barangay Colgante, Apalit, Pampanga, Philippines. You can reach us at support@axcelsoft.com.

2. Accepting these terms

The first time you sign in, the Welcome screen asks you to tick "I agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy". You can read both documents by tapping their names, on the Welcome screen and on the sign-in screen.

3. Who can play

4. Your account

You sign in with Google or Facebook, in your phone's own browser, so we never see your password. Their own terms also apply to that sign-in.

Your display name is suggested from the name your sign-in provider gives us. This is often your real name. If you'd rather not show it, choose another name on the Welcome screen, especially if you're under 18. The app can't change it yet once you enter the world, so if you need it changed, contact us.

Your display name is shown to other players in the Museum and the Colosseum if you're 16 or older (13 to 15 year-olds appear as "Anonymous Explorer"). It must not pretend to be someone else (including our team), be offensive, hateful, sexual or harassing, or include anyone's private details. If it breaks these rules, we may change it.

5. Relics and other game content

The game's name, logo, art and software belong to us or our licensors.

6. Salvage is permanent

7. Fair play

You must not:

If you break these rules, we may remove relics gained unfairly. Depending on how serious it is, we may also stop your account from signing in, for a time (a suspension) or for good (a ban). If you think we got it wrong, contact us at support@axcelsoft.com and we'll look again.

8. Playing safely in the real world

World of Relics takes you out exploring real places. The World map uses your phone's location to show the streets around you and the Relics Chests near you, and opening a chest sends your position to our server to check that you're there. Our Privacy Policy says exactly what is sent and what little we keep.

Hunting hours. Relics Chests can be opened from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm, Philippine time. At night they rest: they stay on the map, but none can be opened, and the app shows when they're back. A chest also refuses to open if you got there faster than a person on foot could have from the last chest you opened, or within a few seconds of it, and tells you how long to wait. We may change these hours and limits for safety; the app always shows the current ones.

The daily walk. A quest counts how far you walk with the World map open, from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm, on foot only. Riding, or anything faster than a brisk walk, doesn't count. It's never timed, and you never need to hurry. Watch where you're going, not your screen. Never walk into traffic or anywhere unsafe to finish a walk. While a walk is under way, the app keeps your screen on while the World map shows, which uses more battery.

Whenever you play:

Relics Chests stand at real places: shops, eateries, museums and other landmarks taken from OpenStreetMap. You only need to be within about 30 m of a chest to open it, so open it from the street or wherever the public is welcome. Never cross a busy road, go into a building or go past a gate just to get closer. A chest may sometimes stand somewhere that's closed, private or unsafe right now. No relic is worth the risk. You decide where you go, so skip it and stay safe.

Opening a chest can show it over your phone's camera picture. The camera is optional, and the picture is never recorded or sent anywhere; see our Privacy Policy.

9. Maps and other services

The World map is made from OpenStreetMap data (© OpenStreetMap contributors, under the Open Database License: openstreetmap.org/copyright), with © OpenMapTiles (openmaptiles.org), and is served by OpenFreeMap (openfreemap.org). The map may be wrong or out of date, so always trust what you see around you over the map.

The places where Relics Chests stand also come from OpenStreetMap data (the original data is at openstreetmap.org), through the Philippines extract published by Geofabrik (download.geofabrik.de). A chest may therefore stand at a place that has moved, closed or never existed. The names of businesses on the map and at chests are shown only to tell places apart: those businesses are not connected with World of Relics and do not sponsor or endorse it, unless we say so. If you run a place and would rather not have chests there, email support@axcelsoft.com with the place's name and address, and we will take its chests off the map. We add places in batches, so if a chest ever comes back there, tell us and we will take it off again. The place itself stays on the map, which is OpenStreetMap's, not ours, and the spot stays in our records as an ended one, because relics already found there refer to it.

The Relics Chest is "Low Poly Treasure Chest" by Dmitry Porotnikov (opengameart.org/content/low-poly-treasure-chest), used under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 licence (creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0). We made its textures smaller for phones and split its lid from the body so it can open.

Google and Facebook sign-in are their services, not ours, and follow their own terms.

10. A game in development

World of Relics is still being built.

11. Ending

12. Disclaimers and limits of liability

In plain words: we do our best, but we can't promise the game will always work, or that nothing will ever be lost.

To the extent the law allows:

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or takes away consumer rights that can't be waived.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. If you have a problem, please contact us first: most things can be sorted out quickly. If the laws where you live give you rights we can't take away, such as bringing a claim in your local courts, these terms don't change that. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the game grows. When we do:
